In the beginning God creates. He creates something out of nothing. He speaks and it is. Then when all is “good”, He reaches down and takes the dust, which He created, and molds it into man. Then, He breathes himself into this molded being. Nothing else in His creation has received His breath. He says this is great! He places us “in charge” of all of His creation. We are called to be stewards of all He has created. We are the lead worshippers of His created order. I love to sit and imagine this, just picturing it as I listened to Dan speak. Then, tonight I ask my son how his first night at youth went and what did they talk about. He tells me how God created everything and how it was good. And then He created man from the dirt and it was great. How He breathed into man. How when He sees us, He sees his beautiful creation not all the junk that we pick up along the way and carry around with us. How cool that God is using two totally different means to provide a great teaching time and discussion between Mom and 12-year old son.
