  1. It rings true to me that the timeless songs are the ones which have deeply profound lyrics. We had an extended worship time last night and “Be Thou My Vision” really gripped my soul. (And it looked like a lot of other souls too.) Even though the song was arranged with contemporary sensibilities for this gathering, the lyrics and basic melody were untouched and the call to focus on God continues to connect, because it is truth.
