Wow, what a great line of teaching! This can make everyone on a worship team a better person in the ministry they serve. Understanding the Worship Leaders Role, (attempting to stand in their shoes for a short moment) can assist each person, by design, to achieve a level of excellence. While blessing them too!
Dan,
The Lord has perfecting timing. I’m about to transition the worship ministry here to reduce the amount of singers involved on a given Sunday. Thank you so much for this. Just this morning I asked the two worship leaders I work with to begin praying for me so that the Lord may speak the “right” words through me as we begin to “disappoint” some of our praise team singers. It is a bit of an awkward situation for me since I’m the new guy and have not had the opportunity to build very strong relationships with the folks I will be letting go. Any advice on how to approach this? I’ve been doing my best to build trust within the group but I know that there will be some negative reaction.
We will be setting up short term commitments in the future. Great advice.

Thank you so much for that. I am currently praying about the need to transition an older worship team member out of the ministry, & transition younger members in. This gave me great food for thought, which I will definitely pray about in the weeks/months to come. I pray that the Lord will guide my thoughts & words.
