Great training presentation Dan ~~~ Your comment about rhythm equaling energy made me think of Richie Havens. I did sound for him once and have to say he was the most dynamic solo performer I’ve ever seen/heard. He even tuned his guitar to a cord and plays everything with his first finger and his thumb as a bar across all the strings at once but the things he does rhythmically are just so powerful it just sucks everyone into grove of the song, right there with him. There’s way more to it than just his guitar playing, it’s his whole body and perhaps soul that make it happen but you can just feel that everyone in the audience becomes a part of the song. If you’ve never listened to his recording of “Freedom”, the song he opened Woodstock with y6ou might want to. It’s a classic example of how less can be oh so much more.
